Jimmy Webb Piano Concert
Friday, February 14th, is Valentine's Day and we hope you'll spend the evening with us as we go to one of our favorite musical venues, Knuckleheads. This East Bottoms institution presents the best of country, blues and rock and roll and this evening Jimmy Webb, the multi-Grammy Award winner will be in concert on piano presenting his own songbook and interpretations of songs made famous by the likes of Glen Campbell, Frank Sinatra, Linda Ronstadt, Art Garfunkel and many more. In addition from his 2019 just released CD you'll hear some of his renditions of his contemporaries---Billy Joel, Paul Simon and the Rolling Stones.
Before the concert we'll arrive at The Rieger, the hottest new event space that houses the newly restored distillery, restaurant and tasting room dating back to 1901. This 45,000 square foot, 3 story building was home to the historic Heim Brewery until it closed during Prohibition never to reopen as its original use until 2018 when the Rieger family reopened the space as J. Rieger & Co. Use your Google Maps and find us at 6pm for a tour and reception. You'll enjoy tasting items from the menu, tour the facility and visit with the ownership until we walk across the railroad tracks to Knuckleheads. Park once next to the distillery or across the street in the parking lot.
The entire evening is only $35/pp. We aren't allowed to serve our own alcohol so you'll need to purchase a drink from the Rieger. Doors to the concert open at 7:30 and the concert begins at 8:30 so plan accordingly for a full evening of enjoying the Rieger experience and the memorable tunes from Jimmy Webb and his musicians.
Space is limited so put your group together, sign up on and join us for another memorable Arts Alive.
