SOLD OUT
Arts Alive begins the New Year with a visit to Johnson County Community College for an evening of Fine Arts and Design followed by a jazz concert at Polsky Theatre featuring vocalist Eboni Fondren and her ensemble. We'll begin this adventure at 5 o'clock on Sunday afternoon with a visit to the newest building at the college campus. The Fine Arts & Design Studios is a 37,000 square foot addition to the "arts" campus and is located just behind the Carlson Center and the Nerman Museum. We'll tour the building with one of the professors from the art faculty, view the current exhibit and wonder through the hallways filled with artworks from the extensive collection as well as new work.
After completing the tour of FADS, we'll walk to a reception provided by the culinary students at the school and continue to enjoy viewing the extensive art collection tastefully displayed throughout the campus. Afterwards, we'll walk to the Carlson Center and settle into our seats at the Polsky Theatre for the 7 o'clock curtain and jazz evening featuring vocalist Eboni Fondren, a local favorite, and her ensemble. Among her many talents, Eboni is also an actress and appeared in the play Little of Horrors at the Kansas City Repertory Theater.
Seating is limited in this intimate theater, so reserve your tickets today, bring your friends and enjoy our first event of 2020. The whole evening is still only $35/pp. We'll look forward to seeing you on this winter Sunday evening.
