As part of the Kansas City Ballet's 60th anniversary season, they are presenting one of George Balanchine's greatest works--Diamonds, part of his unforgettable jewels triptych set to the music of Tchaikovsky's Third Symphony. Arts Alive has reserved 100 seats for the April 7th performance. We hope you'll be with us for this spectacular evening. Curtain is 7:30PM at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
We'll begin that Saturday at 5PM with the metalsmith, George Rousis, at his Organic Iron Concepts at the Brickhouse Studio on the corner of 53rd and Woodland. For the past 30 years, this unique artist has used recycled metals, salvage, steel and wrought iron to craft sculpture, jewelry and architectural items. We'll have our reception in his studio/home, view the artist at work and marvel at his personal collection. Select items will be for sale.
We'll leave in plenty of time to make the 7:30PM curtain at the Kauffman.
