Barnaby Bright Sept 27th 5:00 PM-SOLD OUT

Barnaby Bright.jpg

We've missed seeing you at our normal monthly events but more importantly we've missed supporting the cultural arts and artists who live in our community and need to perform to survive. Our board is committed to find ways to support the arts but we must do it safely as we wait to find a vaccine that will alleviate some of the problems we encounter as we work through the pandemic. We surveyed our membership and the responses were varied but the majority would support a program that protected the audience as well as the performers.

We've picked the date of Sunday, September 27th, beginning at 5:00 pm in the parking lot of the Fire Station #31, located at 4516 Troost. There will be tables and chairs, socially distanced and we can allow 50 people to attend.

Food will NOT be served so you might consider bringing a picnic.

Individual servings of wine, beer and water will be  available and each patron will have two drink tickets.

We will be featuring the musical performance of Barnaby Bright, a dynamic duo who have performed all over the world but call Kansas City their home. Nathan and Becky Bliss grew up in our city and still reside here. They've performed with the  likes of Nora Jones and The Lumineers and have just released a new album which will be available at the concert. Their music relates to the times we're living and reflects on family, love, generosity and healing.

Sign up quickly as we are limited by city code to a smaller audience than usual. We'll continue to find programs that we can present safely. Your suggestions for the board to consider are welcome.

Access to the bathrooms will be available inside the Fire Station.
