Mission Hills private collection and "Noises Off!": a comedic play

NoiseOff.jpg

On Saturday, April 4, Arts Alive will visit a private art collection in a beautiful Mission Hills home before going to see one of the funniest plays ever written at the Spencer Theatre, UMKC campus. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. for a visit to the home of Dr. and Mrs. Mark Cohen where we'll enjoy a garden reception and a tour of their extensive collection that includes works by Hung Liu, Ebony Patterson, Paul Anthony Smith and Roger Shimomura.

We'll leave just after 7 p.m. for a short commute to the UMKC campus for the 8 p.m. curtain of ‘Noises Off’. This Michael Frayn comedy, originally staged in London in 1982, has been a crowd-pleaser on many stages. An English theatrical troupe's production goes horribly wrong, resulting in flubbed lines, missed cues, slamming doors and falling trousers. This play-within-a-play has become a modern comedy classic.

Put a group together and join us for another Arts Alive adventure. Sign up quickly as we have limited seating for this event. Those who can join us will be sent a follow up email with  directions and details to the Cohen residence the week before our event. We look forward to greeting you at another fun cultural evening.
