The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time opens on Friday, January 26th on the Spencer Theatre stage and Arts Alive will be there. The Kansas City Rep production of the 2015 Tony award winning play features an all-star cast of national and local actors and will be directed by Marissa Wolf. The New York Times has called this play "one of the most fully immersive shows ever to wallop Broadway". If there was ever a time to appreciate a great novel by watching an equally compelling dramatization, this is it.
At 6pm we'll visit the new Brookside townhouse of John and Sharon Hoffman. Their art collection includes paintings, sculpture, photography, ceramics and video by nationally and internationally renowned artists. From Pop art to Emerging rising stars, the new 3 story townhouse, part of five new ones built just east of Oak on 63rd Street, houses their collection in special new setting.
The reception will be catered by Heather White, owner of the Russell, an exciting new restaurant about to open at 32nd and Main. Purchase your tickets quickly as this event will sell out.
