On March 15, join us on a cultural jaunt to Parkville, a charming and historic river town just north of Kansas City.

At 5 p.m. we’ll gather at Centering Souls: Parkville’s Art House to enjoy a demonstration of wheel-thrown pottery.  You’ll have the chance to explore their gallery of two-dimensional work and ceramics all of which are available for purchase. Drinks and a light supper will be provided by Platters and Boards.

Around 6:45 pm we’ll head to the Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel on the nearby Park University campus for the 7:30 pm spring concert of the Orchestra of the International Center for Music.  Guest conductor Laura Jackson from the Reno Philharmonic Association will lead a program of works for a string orchestra including the music by Sir Edward Elgar, Patrick Harlin, and Franz Schubert.

This March Arts Alive event achieves the milestone of delivering 25 years of exceptional cultural programming to our community. We've introduced our audience, now numbering around 1,500 people, to literally hundreds of cultural, visual, and performing events. We look forward to the next 25 years of sharing cultural destinations throughout greater Kansas City.

Put a group together and join us for another exciting Arts Alive event. Or come on your own and make some new friends amidst this friendly group of arts lovers.

Cost is $35 per person. As always, tickets are non-refundable. If your schedule changes you are welcome to give or sell your tickets to someone else. Our recently renewed Facebook page ArtsAlive KC will help you organize your ticket exchanges, so be sure to “LIKE” it.
