Our October ArtsAlive evening begins on Saturday, October 9th at 5:30pm with a visit to one of the most established galleries in the Crossroads, the Sherry Leedy Contemporary Art Gallery. Established in 1985, this gallery represents and presents emerging, mid-career and internationally recognized artists. The current show featured Judy Onofrio: Bliss and Sherry Leedy: Sight-Line. In addition the lower level gallery features ceramics, sculpture and paintings representing many of the artists carried by the gallery.

We'll meet at the gallery for a reception of hors d’oeuvres and drinks as we tour the exhibit and discuss the two featured artists. The gallery space is large and can comfortably accommodate our group.

The Folly Theater is a short distance away and the jazz concert featuring nationally known Karrin Allyson begins at 8pm. She is a singer, pianist and songwriter and returns to her hometown with a quintet and the program will feature many of her memorable songs from her 15 recordings and 5 Grammy nominations. We love to support the Folly and their Jazz Series but they are only opening their seating halfway to give patrons ample distance. No food or beverages will be available there.

Both the Leedy Gallery and the Folly Theater require all persons to be vaccinated. You will need to show proof of vaccination at both venues. Masks will also be mandatory at both venues.
