  • 2:00 PM What the Constitution Means to Me, 1 H & R Block Way, Kansas City, MO 64105

Join Arts Alive on the afternoon of Saturday, October 28th, when we visit Corbin Bronze for a tour of Tom Corbin’s current work and a light lunch followed by a two o’clock performance of What the Constitution Means to Me at the Kansas City Rep’s Copaken Stage.

Tom Corbin turned to bronze sculpture in 1986 after an early career in advertising. Over nearly 40 years he has created a body of work that is now represented in more than 20 museums, corporate collections, private collections, and now, most recently, in the United States Capitol featuring the likeness of former President Harry S. Truman.

We arrive at Corbin Studio (located in a former fire house) at noon and tour the studio and sculpture garden.

After a light lunch and drinks at the studio, we leave in time for the 2:00 PM curtain at Copaken Stage for What the Constitution Means to Me.

Fifteen-year-old Heidi earned her college tuition by winning Constitutional debate competitions across the United States. In this hilarious, hopeful, and achingly human new play, she resurrects her teenage self to trace the profound relationship between four generations of women and the founding document that shaped their lives. Critics have hailed this Tony-nominated play as hilarious. hopeful, and achingly human.

The entire event is still only $45 per person including the light lunch so put your group together and join us. Space is limited to 100 people at both the studio and the theater.

As always, tickets are nonrefundable. If your schedule changes you are welcome to give or sell your tickets to someone else.

Join Arts Alive on October 28 for a great afternoon exploring the cultural arts in our city.
