Event: Belger Studios & BlueRoom, on 2/22

Arts Alive Event
Wednesday, February 22, 2017 – 5pm
Belger Crane Yard Studios
2011 Tracy Ave, Kansas City, MO 64108
Latin Music at the Blue Room
1616 E 18th St, Kansas City, MO 64108

We’ll warm up your February with a night of hot Caribbean jazz in the Blue Room of the historic American Jazz Museum. On Wednesday evening, February 22nd we’ll take over the entire room, push back some tables and enjoy Pablo Sanhueza and the West Side Latin Allstars. We’ll demonstrate some salsa dancing and enjoy some special Caribbean libations. Wear your dancing shoes.

We begin the evening at one of our favorite venues, the Belger Crane Yard Studios and view their ceramic exhibit entitledA Hard Swath to Mow”, featuring artists from the University of Arkansas. In addition, Michael Sims will keep his Lawrence Lithography open and highlight his latest prints including those done by Roger Shimomura, whose studio we visited last November when we visited Lawrence and the re-opened Spencer Museum.

The evening begins at 5pm with a reception at the Belger. We’ll feature food from the Caribbean and a little latin jazz to get us in the mood. As always the cost is only $30 but we’re limited to capacity inside the Blur Room. We sell out quickly so get a group together and join us for a fun evening.

**Please note that we do not mail our tickets in advance and will instead distribute them at the event. You will receive an email a day or two prior to the event confirming your registration.
***Also, we regret that we are unable to give refunds.
